We are honored to announce the awards won by research projects and audiovisual works from our academic community at this prestigious festival:
1st Place (Medium-Length Film): "Haukanünu Nãu Iyayakapiri – O que dizem as mães" (What Mothers Say), by Aline Regitano (CEstA researcher) and Warakina Mehinako. The film was produced by LISA as part of Regitano’s doctoral studies at PPGAS-USP, under the supervision of Marina Vanzolini.
1st Place (Feature-Length Film): "Até Onde a Vista Alcança" (As Far as the Eye Can See), by Alice Villela and Hidalgo Romero. The documentary stems from Alice Villela’s postdoctoral research at USP, supervised by Rose Satiko Gitirana Hikiji (@rose.satiko), within the scope of the FAPESP Thematic Project "O Musicar Local: novas trilhas para a etnomusicologia" (Making Music Locally: New Paths for Ethnomusicology), developed at UNICAMP and LISA. The film was produced by Laboratório Cisco.
2nd Place (Feature-Length Film): "Drags in da' House," by Paula Bessa Braz, a doctoral candidate at PPGAS-USP supervised by Rose Satiko Gitirana Hikiji. The work is a co-production between LISA and Lavanderia Docs, co-authored with Mihai Andrei Leaha, Caio Rincon, Gab Italiani, and Dida Silva.
