A discussion on the book *Musicar local: trilhas para estudos musicais* (Local Musicking: Pathways for Musical Studies), which explores the potential of the concept of "local musicking"—inspired by the neologism "musicking," coined by Christopher Small to encompass any form of engagement with music.

Featuring Suzel Reily (coordinator of the FAPESP Thematic Project "Local Musicking: New Pathways for Ethnomusicology"), Flávia Toni (musicologist and full professor at the IEB-USP), and Rose Satiko (associate professor in the Department of Anthropology at USP).
